DID I JUST WALK INTO ANCIENT ROME....WHERE IS CAESAR SO I CAN ASCEND THE THRONE

On a Thursday morning we headed out to the British Museum for a quick tour. The British Museum is one of the most popular destinations in London. The museum holds art from around the world that dates back to the beginning of time. I got to see the Rosetta stone up close and personal….well as close to the glass I could get. We also saw many statutes of Ramesses II from many of his temples….he was a bit narcissist. He was the third king of the Nineteenth Dynasty in Egypt and he ruled for sixty-seven years.  There was an exhibition of the Chinese dynasty where I got to see a lot of Buddha statues and gorgeous decorated dishes. There was also an ancient India display with gorgeous decorative doors and elaborate gold statues of their goddesses. The British Museum is such an amazing place to visit especially if you love history/art history.  There were marble statues of famous philosophers such as Socrates. There were parts of the Parthenon on display…which makes you question why go to Greece to see it.  The best part for me was everything from Ancient Greece and Rome.  If you are ever in London don’t forget to put the British Museum on your list of places to see. I've been back twice since my first visit.
